About our

ADaPT for Black Youth and the Black Business Professionals Association offers every participant the opportunity to be mentored by industry experts and powerful role models. The mentorship program is a core pillar of the ADaPT-BYAP initiative, aiming to provide invaluable guidance and support to young individuals as they navigate their personal and professional journeys.
Participants can expect to receive personalized one-on-one mentorship, from seasoned professionals who have excelled in their respective fields. These mentors will be carefully selected to ensure that they not only possess the necessary expertise but also share similar cultural backgrounds and experiences, fostering a strong sense of relatability and understanding.

Through the mentorship program, participants will gain access to invaluable insights, knowledge, and practical advice tailored to their specific interests and aspirations. Whether they are exploring potential career paths, seeking guidance on academic pursuits, or aiming to overcome personal challenges, the mentors will offer a supportive and empathetic environment to facilitate growth and development.

Mentors will actively engage with participants, providing encouragement, motivation, and constructive feedback to help them unlock their full potential. They will serve as role models, demonstrating resilience, determination, and the importance of representation in various fields. The mentorship program is not only about imparting skills and knowledge but also about building a strong sense of community and fostering long-lasting connections.

Furthermore, ADaPT for Black Youth recognizes that mentorship is a two-way street. As part of the program, participants will have the chance to actively engage with their mentors, asking questions, seeking advice, and sharing their own unique perspectives. This reciprocal relationship will enable participants to not only learn from their mentors but also offer fresh insights and ideas, creating a dynamic and enriching exchange of experiences.

In addition to one-on-one mentoring, the program will also organize group mentoring sessions, peer to peer mentoring sessions, workshops, and networking events. These gatherings will provide opportunities for participants to interact with a broader community of industry experts, guest speakers, and successful Black professionals. Through these events, participants can expand their networks, gain exposure to various fields, and access a wealth of resources that can further support their personal and professional growth.

Ultimately, the ADaPT mentorship program aims to empower Black youth with the confidence, skills, and support needed to overcome barriers and achieve their goals. It is a transformative experience that instills a sense of pride, resilience, and determination, empowering participants to become leaders and change-makers in their communities and beyond.
